Just So?

Edinburgh Fringe Children's Show review

A physical theatre version of Rudyard Kipling's Just 'So Stories'. It works really well as short scenes, broken up by a narrator, looking at questions like how a camel gets its hump? how a cat becomes domesticated? and whist some of the language might suit older kids, the acting and visual aspect of the show made sense to the younger of the audience members. Aiden totally understood the suggestions that maybe, there has been something or someone else that make things 'just so' with animals and people in history and having great fun along the way with playing with these ideas. The stage was minimal but there was great use of props such as a pop up tent and there was great use of boiler suits for the consumes.

Nicely played out and well acted. We really liked this show because it got my son and I talking about how things came about and looking at things differently and in a fun way. A bit of a philosophical journey which was quite nice to explore.
