Review
This is a story of the Welsh dragon, from a compilation of ancient myths. The story is about a dragon's egg, which has to be protected whilst the white and red dragons are feuding. It is entrusted to a newborn baby boy, who grows up and becomes an old man whilst protecting it, until it eventually hatches and a tiny dragon emerges. The tale is told partly in Welsh, with English translation, and the four cast members cleverly operate many puppets.
It is accompanied by beautiful music and has many amusing touches. Ewan aged 9 said The movement and actions of the puppets made you think they actually had feelings. Callum aged 12 said it was a fun history lesson wbout Welsh myths and stories. Both boys thoroughly enjoyed the performance and the little humourous touches had all the children giggling and laughing.
