The Devon Music Education Hub (DMEH) continues to promote and support young people’s music making across the county in the new school year. If your child is thinking about musical tuition this year, the DMEH offers low cost instrument hire on a wide range of instruments to help you get started without making the commitment to buy straight away. By taking part in this exciting programme you will be able to develop an innovative outdoor learning programme for your school, creating activities that deliver many aspects of the 2014 curriculum in the coastal environment. You’ll get expert guidance and advice from experienced outdoor educators and be able to develop and deepen your pupils’ connection with the natural world. You will also gain the opportunity to become one of the first Sea Green Schools in the UK.

Bicton College Launches New Part-Time Courses

Conveniently situated less than 20 minutes from Exeter, Exmouth, Sidmouth and Budleigh, Bicton College is in the heart of East Devon.

As well as providing a range of full-time courses for school leavers, the College has a fantastic part-time programme for learners of all ages, welcoming all into the historic mansion and grounds. Visit the South West Childcare and Education Show supported by Primary Times

The South West Childcare and Education Show that will be taking place at Westpoint near Exeter on 7 and 8 November is essential for anyone with an interest in early years education and childcare. This exhibition will provide a one-stop-shop for educational resources, expert advice and networking for those involved in the care and education of 0 - 7 years.

This exhibition is launched in association with Babcock Learning Development Partnership who will also be hosting a one-day conference alongside the exhibition on Friday 7 November. The keynote speaker is Sue Palmer on ‘Detoxing Childhood’ Delegate rate applies.

The South West Childcare and Education Show combines, a free seminar programme, interactive workshops, themed areas and a range of companies offering advice and resources to those who educate, care and support young children.
