Message from Kernow Health

“Routine vaccinations are recommended for everyone to help protect against some very serious, preventable illnesses.

In Cornwall and Devon, the Kernow Health School Age Immunisation Team is responsible for delivering some of these vaccinations to school-age children.

Babies and young children are vaccinated at their GP surgery or clinic, and a record is kept in their red book. Once your child starts school, our team is responsible for continuing to offer routine vaccinations on behalf of the NHS.

Different vaccinations are offered to children at different times depending on their age. See the handy guide to which ones are offered to different age groups.

Our website contains information and a consent form which must be completed before we can vaccinate your child. Visit www.kernowhealthcic.org.uk/school-age-immunisation

If you have any questions about vaccinations, or you are unsure about which ones your child has had, or needs, contact our team who are happy to help and answer your questions.”
