International World Food Day Poster and Video Contest

Children and young people around the world are invited to join the International World Food Day Drawing and Video Contest organized by the United Nations’ Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), and be part of the  #ZeroHunger Generation.

The 2017 World Food Day’s theme is: Change the future of migration. Invest in food security and rural development.

We would like children and young people (5-19 years old) to create posters or short videos that bring this year’s theme to life. The World Food Day website provides materials and information to help both students and their teachers learn about the theme, and to stimulate creativity.

Entering the Contest is simple. Children or their teachers can go to: www.fao.org/world-food-day/2017/contest/en and submit a poster or a short video on the World Food Day theme.

Winners of the poster and video contest will be announced on the World Food Day website, on FAO social media and promoted by FAO offices all over the world. They will also feature in an exhibition at FAO headquarters in Rome before the end of the year and receive a surprise gift bag and Certificate of Recognition signed by a United Nations official! The deadline for entries is 10 November 2017.

For more information about the WFD contest and this year’s theme, please go to: www.fao.org/world-food-day/2017/theme/en.
