Focusing On Film

The BFI London Film Festival returns to London on 4th October and over 200 films will be screened over the course of 12 days. The Festival sees hundreds of new UK and international films screened at more than 15 locations and with screenings and events open to the public as well as film industry professionals and talent, the Festival presents the first opportunity for audiences in the UK to see the very best in popular and independent cinema from across the globe.

The Festival brings some of the biggest names in film to the city, as well as providing a showcase for the very best in emerging talent, giving audiences new experiences in film and a chance to get close to the stars and filmmakers.

The 2017 Festival will open with the European Premiere of Breathe, the directorial debut of Andy Serkis on Wednesday 4 October, and the full programme will be announced at the festival launch on 31st August. There's a big family feel to the festival and last year saw the UK trailer of Trolls, alongside some other great films such as the BAFTA nominated The Eagle Huntress.

Grab you coat and get your hat, and get ready for the red carpet and some great movies!
