Ami & Tami Primary Times Children's Choice Awards Review

Tami and Ami are desperate for the adventure, imagination and excitement that their parents have forbidden them from and from visiting the forest nearby. Their imagination creates a musical version of Hansel and Gretel which is full of colourful characters such as the evil ogre Humm, and Yaga the Witch. But they are helped along the way by Imf and by the beloved Singing Lice and find their way back home to their parents.

Aiden (5.5) was captivated by this show in its creative way of telling a fairy tale with a narrator and musician creating the story as they go along. The stage set is fairly simple but there is good use of props to create settings. The characters are all great and Aidens favourite was Imf whom he thought was very funny and great fun. The songs were also very good and especially the Singing Lice, who to Aidens delight, emerge from the audience.

This was a great show and smartly done and will suit children of all ages for its vibrant and fun characters as well as the music and there is a particularly good witches song. We both loved this show.

Child's Quote

Aiden (5.5) said, "I want to know the words to the lice song" "can we buy the music Mummy?" "Imf is my favourite character, he's very funny" "the witches song is good but scary"
