Following the retirement of the current head teacher Governors are seeking to appoint an experienced, talented and motivational leader to rapidly lead the school out of special measures* and beyond.
The successful applicant will:
- Have an ambitious strategic vision for the school and an exceptional drive to inspire, influence and motivate staff and children.
- Be able to maintain a high profile within the daily life of the school, and the community which it serves.
- Develop, communicate and embed a strong ethos which sustains the learning, development, safety and well-being of all pupils within a welcoming learning environment.
- Have a passion for leading high quality teaching and learning so that all outcomes, achievement and well-being for all pupils exceed expectations given a range of starting points and capabilities.
- Be decisive and prepared to make difficult decisions, as appropriate, with unrelenting focus, determination, sensitivity and propriety.
- Be committed to contributing to community cohesion and integrated partnership working in the delivery of the “Every Child Matters” outcomes for children.
This post may suit an experienced and successful senior manager who is looking for a new challenge in a very pleasant market town within a supportive, high performing and dynamic local authority. The school, which has an attached Sure Start Children’s Centre, is situated on the western fringes of the town with above average numbers of pupils entitled to free school meals and of those with learning difficulties and/or disabilities.
