The most romantic story of recent times is set to break hearts all over again this Valentine’s Day as David Nicholls’s beloved tale, One Day, is released on Blu-ray and DVD on February 6, 2012.

Directed by the critically acclaimed Lone Scherfig (An Education), the poignant story of love and loss is faithfully adapted by the book’s author making it the perfect gift this Valentine’s Day.

Featuring a stellar cast lead by Academy-Award Nominee Anne Hathaway and acclaimed actor Jim Sturgess, the film showcases an array of home-grown British including star turns by Rafe Spall  (Shaun of the Dead, A Good Year) and Romola Garai (The Hour, Atonement).

One Day is available to pre-order now on DVD and Blu-ray Triple Play (includes Blu-ray, DVD & Digital Copy). As well as the original love story, the release contains six exclusive bonus features including; Anne Hathaway’s vision of Emma and how she brought the character to life plus behind-the-scenes commentary with Director Lone Scherfig.

Following the story of Emma (Hathaway) and Dexter (Sturgess), who meet on the day of their university graduation, July 15th 1988, the film catches up with the pair on the same day for the next 20 years as they experience the highs and lows of adulthood both together and apart.

As their lives go separate ways, Emma and Dex strive to live their dreams experiencing hardship, success and compromise along the way. The bonds of their friendship are frequently tested yet their stories remain intertwined. Will they realise the power of their unique connection in time to share a life together?

MUSIC INDUSTRY COVERED IN POWDER


From the makers of AWAYDAYS comes POWDER, a new rock ‘n’ roll film,
available to own on DVD from 16th January.


The story of Liverpool four piece The Grams, POWDER captures all the energy and excitement of a band breaking through.


Filmed on location at V Festival and Ibiza and adapted from the bestselling novel by Kevin Sampson, the former manager of The Farm, POWDER has all the ingredients to commit the machinations of the music
industry to screen.


Alongside the cast of young British acting talent including Alfie Allen (Game of Thrones) and Liam Boyle (Awaydays) are The Rascals’ members Greg Mighall and Joe Edwards. Together they make up The Grams, a fictional band that is given an authentic identity thanks to an original soundtrack of new songs written and performed by Starsailor’s James Walsh. The soundtrack of POWDER was released on digital download to coincide with the cinema release at the end of the festival season last year.


Exclusive footage on the POWDER DVD includes music videos of The Grams, and their rivals Transbad Saints, and vox pop interviews with celebrities such as Alesha Dixon, who rate The Grams following their live
performance at V Festival.

We are pleased to announce the release of GO TO BLAZES (1962) on DVD on January 30th, 2012.

Three charming but foolhardy crooks have the idea to use a fire engine as the perfect getaway vehicle for their new scheme. Featuring an all-star cast that includes Maggie Smith, Robert Morley, Dennis Price, Dave King, Derek Nimmo, Thora Hird and Will Hay, GO TO BLAZES is a lost gem of British Comedy.
