Cooking with Kids: Salted Toffee Apple Bake

Kerstin Rogers' recipe is simple, delicious and ready in 30 minutes! 

Ingredients (serves 4): 

50g Butter

Half a lemon

4 South African apples, quartered and cored

125g Soft brown sugar

125ml Double cream

Sea salt


  1. Preheat oven to 200C, fan oven 180C, Gas Mark 6
  2. Choose a baking tray that has edges (measuring approximately 20 x 30cm) or use a large shallow baking dish and smear with butter. Add the lemon juice and then arrange the apples on top.
  3. In a small bowl mix together the brown sugar and cream. Pour it into the baking tray.
