GROUND-BREAKING DVD LAUNCHED FOR FATHERS-TO-BE

Being Dad gives real-life pregnancy and birthing advice that men can relate to, and will want to watch

“Darling ... I’m pregnant.” However you choose to share the news, those three little words have rocked millions of men to the core, turning their lives upside down, and changing their title instantly to “dad”. However, fathers- to-be now have nothing to fear with the release of the ground-breaking and often humorous DVD – Being Dad!

The DVD is being launched in the UK this week after an Australian version broke sales records down under. It features the experiences of 40 dads from five cities around the UK, as well as seven experts, and follows them through nine months to give viewers a true insight into surviving pregnancy as a man.

Being Dad is a fun and informative DVD made by dads for dads, bringing to life the whole process from pregnancy to birth and beyond. From practical tips on birthing advice to humorous footage of dads donning pregnancy suits, Being Dad is the digestible DVD that gets through to men in a way women’s hints, helpful clues and hoards of books never could!

Troy Jones, the creator of the DVD, explains: "We felt there was a real need for a product that was entertaining, brutally honest, to the point and easy to watch.  What we ended up with was a film filled with honest anecdotes and helpful advice from new fathers themselves, that any dad or dad-to-be can relate to.  Being Dad tackles pregnancy and birth from the man's point of view. It’s an entertaining DVD that couples can watch together and even enjoy a few laughs over the popcorn!”

Being Dad gives top tips like “Cravings are real. Respond to them” and “The baby is now her number one priority – welcome to being number two!” The benefits for him are countless – less stress in the lead-up, no panic on the big day, and a sense that they’re in control (even if they’re not really).  Inevitably it makes it much easier for mum too, giving women a sneak peak into how pregnancy and birth affects men.
