Parentchannel.tv is an exciting and valuable resource aimed at parents and carers with children aged 5 -19, looking for quick and straightforward support.
This free and simple-to-use website is packed with more than 170 short, helpful videos, based on up-to-date expert knowledge and case studies from real parents and their children.
Divided into three categories of Learning, Behaviour and Wellbeing, we have videos on topics as diverse as bullying, sex, drugs, disability, gangs, family break-up, parties, as well as many related to school such as reading, homework, exam stress and truancy, to name just a few!
The videos offer some key pointers, some new ideas, and some suggestions of where to go if more information is needed. Every family is different, so we do not try to tell parents what to do; we just give the facts and offer some more options, linking directly to additional support from a range of existing services.
The great thing about the website is that local children’s services and schools can put our videos up on their own websites for FREE. Parentchannel.tv has been developed by leading parenting experts in partnership with Capablue and Tomorrow’s Child and funded by the Department for Education.
