Walk & Explore 2008

The Children's Society’s national sponsored walking events are taking place up and down the country this summer, and we'd love for you to join us!  Walk & Explore is a fantastic opportunity for friends and family, and indeed the whole community, to explore the famous landmarks and hidden gems of England at the same time as actively helping to create real change for disadvantaged children in the UK.

There are two Walk & Explore adventure routes around each city, the 1.5-mile Young Detectives' Trail, perfect for families with young children, and the 4-mile Discoverers' Trail, for those who want to explore a little deeper!  With costumed characters telling the legends and tales, free or discounted entry into many of the historic gems along the way and a mystery puzzle for you and your little ones to solve, Walk & Explore will be an enthralling day, transporting you back through the England's ancient history.

In addition to the walks themselves, there’ll be lots of entertainment on offer. Our Art and Fun Tent, courtesy of The Early Learning Centre, will host face-painting, traditional games and arts and craft and there’ll be live music, dance and much, much

Walk & Explore is a fun sponsored walking adventure for friends and family. The events are a chance to discover hidden gems in your city by following an exciting historic trail. The walks aim to raise funds to enable The Children's Society to continue it's commitment to making childhoods better.
