Learning difficulties spot the signs - Online resource for parents

As parents we all want to give our children the very best possible start in life.  Seeing your child develop is so rewarding but sometimes there are areas of where a child might need a little extra help.  Spotting strengths and weakness early on will give you the chance to positively help and understand your child’s individual needs.

Often detecting learning difficulties such as Dyslexia is left until the 2nd or 3rd year of school by which time development can be affected and a child’s confidence damaged.  However it is possible for parents to take an active role in identifying early signs and take positive steps to support their child’s learning.

An informative online resource has just been launched which uses a series of fun games where its characters the cheeky Smart Cats explore the twelve areas of learning.  The games include Sorting and Matching, Mathematical Development, Language and Memory, they are captivating and 4 to 6 year olds get to enjoy having fun while valuable information is collated and a profile of their strengths and weakness is created.

Smart Cat’s ‘Play, Profile, Progress’ concept is the first of its kind and gives families the chance to actively support learning in the home with a serious of personalised activities based on their child’s individual profile.  Award winning Smart Cat Learning is tried and trusted by teachers and parents and has a team of experts on hand to give parents advice and support.  Why not take a look around the website and play some games with the Smart Cats, this is a wonderful opportunity for parents to positively contribute to their child’s learning, confidence and achievement.
