Getting Your Mini Monsters Back To School

Getting back to school is just around the corner and for many parents it means looking forward to the 9am – 3.30pm routine, with the addition of homework fights and the morning rush! It doesn’t all have to be bad news though, as My Mini Monsters, the fab new children’s interiors site, have pulled together some tips about how to bring the bright side back to classroom.
Homework is due to start rolling in again and so why not smarten up their bedroom and make sure that it’s a peaceful and calm place for them to work in. My Mini Monsters stocks a wide range of fantastic bedroom furniture and accessories to help you create the perfect room for them. With any luck they will enjoy working in there so much that getting them to finish their homework will be easy!
“Here at My Mini Monsters we believe kids should be inspired by their surroundings, free to explore colours, spaces and textures. We want to encourage their creativity by helping you to design bedrooms that are practical, vibrant and above all fun to spend time in,” says Emma Ryder at My Mini Monsters.
To help you get your kids back into the swing of school again, My Mini Monsters are offering 200 people a fantastic Humphrey’s Corner push-pull-turn and lift colour picture book beautifully illustrated by Sally Hunter. Choose between ‘Learn with Humphrey ABC’ or ‘Learn with Humphrey 123’.
Email your name and address to info@myminimonsters.co.uk with Primary Times in the subject line. Don’t forget to include your book preference!
Also they have just launched their ‘Back to School’ checklist to their website today that will give mums that extra helping hand with everything they need to remember in the build up for getting back to school! The guide can be downloaded from their website here..
My Mini Monsters Tips:
Take a trip to the supermarket and let them choose new stationary. A brand new notebook and pencils will (fingers crossed) get them look forward to getting in the classroom and using them.
Plan a great social event for the Friday of the first week to give them something to look forward to.
Go shopping the day before term starts and get them to choose five different lunch box treats — one for every day of the week. It's the little things that keep them happy.
Remind them of all the school friends they haven't seen for the past few weeks. Suggest they invite one back after school to join them for tea.
Come up with a way of making the journey to school something to look forward to. Put those bikes to good use or offer to pick up their friends on the way to give them something worth going out of the door for. Why not take a look at the ‘Walk to School’ guide for some more inspiration.
Cheer them up with the thought that it's only 45 days until half term!
