Mini Pots of Care

Marie Curie Cancer Care is giving children the chance to get their hands dirty this autumn by growing their own daffodils in its Mini Pots of Care fundraising activity, run in partnership with Yellow Pages.

Mini Pots of Care is a fun and creative way for children aged 3-11 to learn about nature and the work of Marie Curie Nurses whilst helping to raise funds for the charity.

Children can enjoy planting a daffodil bulb in their own mini pot which they care for during the winter months to reflect the care that Marie Curie Nurses provide to terminally ill patients.  In spring, when the daffodils bloom, the children paint their pots and take them home to someone they care about in return for a small donation to the charity.

Support from Yellow Pages, City Link and Homebase ensures that all funds raised go directly to the work of Marie Curie Nurses, who provide high quality nursing, totally free of charge, to give people with terminal illnesses the choice of dying at home, supported by their families.

Free curriculum-linked resources, created especially for the activity, are available to every participating school and group.

To register today for a free planting kit, please visit: www.mariecurie.org.uk/minipotsofcare or call 08700 340 040 (Registrations close October 17)
