"sister Stan" to visit Kinsale peace project on Thursday January 26th

It is with great pleasure to announce on behalf of the kinsale peace project, that Sister Stanislaus Kennedy will be our guest speaker on January 26th next!

Sister Stan as she is affectionately known is a visionary and social innovator and a member of the congregation of religious sisters of charity since 1958.she also set up “focus Ireland” many years ago.

Sr Stan has received numerous award and tributes for her outstanding work for the marginalized in society, some of those are as follows:

1982 honorary doctorate in law from trinity college, Dublin

 1993 University of New York, special honour for commitment to the disadvantaged in Ireland,

 1996 the lord mayors of Dublin’s award.

2003 honorary doctorate in law from the national university of Ireland

2004 meteor awards prestigious “humanitarian of the year award “

2005 honorary degree of doctor of the Open University

Sister Stan has written several books on poverty and meditation.
