Darren Campbell launches £500,000 community sports fund

The Olympic athlete is calling on the public to help their local sporting initiative win

 

Olympic gold medallist Darren Campbell is calling on the public to make a difference in their community and vote for the local sporting initiative of their choice, to help them to win funding of up to £50,000.

 

The Norwich Union Community Sports Fund has made £500,000 available to be distributed between over 200 grassroots sporting initiatives nationwide.

There are three levels of funding available, initiatives that receive at least 200 votes will win a 'bronze' award of £1,000, and the initiative that gains the most votes in each region will win a silver award of £12,500 and enter a nationwide final.

The finalist that shows itself to be the initiative most worthy of support will win a gold award of £50,000.
