Lifejacket Safety Awareness Campaign


Bord Iascaigh Mhara (BIM), the Seafood Development Agency, Irish Water Safety (IWS), the statutory body established to promote water safety and the Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI) are continuing their campaign to encourage more fishermen to wear their lifejackets at sea.

New Surfing Safty Campaign

MINISTER CALLS FOR COMMERCIAL FISHERMEN TO WEAR LIFEJACKETS


The Minister for Agriculture, Food and the Marine, Simon Coveney TD, today (23 June 2011) launched a new initiative to encourage a greater uptake in the wearing of lifejackets by the commercial fishing sector.
