SCOUTS GET COOKING FOR

CHEF’S BADGE

For the second year running, Original Dutch Edam has teamed up with The Scout Association to put the fun in outdoor cooking at this year’s event, ‘The Big Adventure’ and sponsor the Chef’s Badge.

From 1st May right until 31st August any Scouts camp can get involved in The Big Adventure, where budding young chefs will be able to don their Edam Chef’s hats and whip up some delicious camp site meals contributing to gaining their Scout’s Chef’s Badge. Sponsored by Dutch Edam wedge and ball, the Scouts Chefs Badge encourages children to create healthy meals proving that adventures can be had around the camp stove as well as the great outdoors.

A spokesperson for Dutch Edam added: ‘It’s always great to see kids having a great time and getting creative with their cooking. We’re proud to be sponsoring this initiative again. Hopefully the scouts will go away feeling inspired to get cooking in the kitchen with their family and friends!’

For those in search of a little help or inspiration, there’s plenty of food for thought at www.edammade.co.uk with a selection of tasty recipes. Scout leaders can get their hands on some fantastic activity packs which can be downloaded online at http://www.scouts.org.uk/sponsors/17
