2 x 400g tins tomatoes
400ml water
1 tbsp tomato puree
1 tbsp paprika
Sour cream
Kitchen stuff:
Chopping board

Vegetable knife
Flame proof casserole dish with lid
Wooden spoon
Slotted spoon
Bowl
Tin opener
Tablespoon
What to do:
Put the oven on 350F 180C Fan160c Gas4
Chop the meat into large chunks (2-3cm).
Heat 1tbsp of the olive oil and half of the butter in the casserole dish and briefly cook (brown), half of the meat to seal in the juices. Carefully remove the beef and put it into the bowl. Heat another tbsp of oil and the remaining butter and brown the remaining beef. Add it to the bowl.
Heat the remaining tbsp of oil and add the chopped onions and garlic to the pan. Stir well with the wooden spoon, until the onions begin to soften (3-5 minutes).
Stir in the flour and mix well. Add the tomatoes and water and stir gently to chop up the tomatoes.
Add the tomato puree, paprika and beef.
Put a lid on the casserole and put it in the oven for 2 hours or until the beef is tender.
Just before serving add the soured cream. Do not mix the cream in and you will get red and white veined marbled effect.
This is yummy served with scary mashed potato (broccoli and potato mash).
For a smaller party of ghouls use half of the recipe.
