Think!

Dublin 26th May: Ryan Tubridy launched Think a new book by Fr. Cathal O’ Brolcháin,  published by Original Writing, yesterday evening at Willow Park School.

Discussing the books key message, Fr O’ Brolcháin stressed, “parents must think of their child’s daily life – going to, inside and outside of school. They can not simply expect a child to follow a parent’s ideal path. If parents do not Think their child can easily go off course”.

Speaking at the launch of the book, Ryan  described Fr.O'Brolcháin as "a cross between Spencer Tracy and Bing Crosby who sounds like Chistopher Walkin and captured the essence of education and that sense of being grounded. He has given me an awful lot of opportunities, without him I would never have held a microphone"

About the Book:
Published by Original Writing, Think is a short book which considers the effect of school days in relation to our children. It focuses on the day to day moments lost to many of us, but recorded by a man who has dedicated almost 25 years of his life to teaching.

The book addresses the routine of school days and the importance of seemingly average events during this time. School bags, mobile phones, wet days, dry days, the school buildings, the colour schemes, space, desks, teachers are all considered as influences on a child’s school life.

Employing fine detail Fr. O Brolcháin offers a distinguished view on our prosaic school days whose effects can be anything but.
