LIGHTS OUT. LET’S ACT ON CLIMATE CHANGE.

WHAT: WWF is calling for everyone across the UK to sign up and take part in Earth Hour – the world’s biggest show of support for our brilliant planet and the need to protect it.

It’s an annual global demonstration where millions around the world switch off their lights for one hour to show they care about the future of our planet and to call for action on climate change.

For the first time in 66 million years we face a mass extinction of wildlife - and humans are the cause. This will be a huge media moment.  The need for action has never been more urgent. Human activity is pushing us beyond the environmental limits of the planet. Now is the time for us to drive the change we need for our planet.

The support has grown each year – with a record 178 countries taking part in 2016 - and 2017’s  is set to be the biggest yet as it’s the 10 year anniversary of Earth Hour.

WHEN: Saturday 25 March 2017, 8:30pm – 9:30pm
