CRIMP, COLOUR AND CURL YOUR WAY TO A BAD HAIR DAY

Swap your sophisticated locks for Mohawks, mullets and wigs this February to help raise money for Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity. Bad Hair Day 2017 will be hitting the nation on Friday 10 February and the charity is inviting people to pop on a wacky wig or backcomb, bouffant and braid their way to a daring new do, to help make a difference to seriously ill children from across the UK.

Whether you crimp your crop for school, mousse up a mean Mohawk for work, or shampoo and colour a silly style in your salon, all people need to do to take part is to sign up for a fundraising pack where you’ll get materials to help you fundraise for the hospital and instructions on how to style a brand new wacky bad-hair style.

Funds raised from Bad Hair Day 2017 will go towards the hospital’s most urgent fundraising needs including pioneering new treatments and research, providing cutting edge equipment and supporting the redevelopment of the hospital to provide state-of-the-art facilities to match the hospital’s world-class care. This money will make a vital difference to children from across the UK who are suffering from the rarest, most complex and often life-threatening conditions.

Laura Savory, Head of Community Fundraising at Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity, said: “Whether you wear a wacky wig or dye your hair purple, be sure to get involved this February by daring to share your bad hair and encouraging people to sponsor you. Your money will help us to make a difference to the lives of seriously ill children from across the UK.”
