Jolly Day Out – Hampton Court’s Summer Festival
Historic Royal Palaces have announced a new Summer Festival for the whole family. “Jolly Day Out” takes place from Friday 26 to Monday 29 August on Hampton Court Green and the great news is that kids under 12 go free. Each day a headline act will take to the main stage; including Imelda May (26 Aug), Bjorn Again (27 Aug) and McFly (28 Aug). There will also be a Sing-a-Long-a Sound of Music on 29 August, which will be followed by a spectacular fireworks display.
Keep the children entertained with live shows in the theatre every day including Charlie & Lola’s Best Bestest Play and the Horrible Histories Stage Show. There will be hourly story- telling from The Roald Dahl Museum as well as hands-on interactive demos with the coolest experiments from the Science Museum.
Kids of all ages can monkey around in the Henry the Apes Arena, learn circus skills in the Big Top, make arts and crafts, have their faces painted and jump on the traditional funfair rides. Continue the festivities with Pig Racing, see the special Dancing Sheep or play a game of Crazy Golf. Doors open at 12noon. For information and tickets call the Box Office on 0844 888 9991 or go to www.jollydayout.com.
