DISNEY CHANNEL REVEALS CELEBRITY PANEL FOR ITS BRAND NEW KARAOKE GAME SHOW - HANNAH-OKE

Disney Channel today unveiled a celebrity line-up for its brand new Hannah Montana themed karaoke-style game show, Hannah-oke. Popstar Duncan James from the recently reformed group Blue, will join Konnie Huq as the show’s presenters. The judging panel putting the contestants through their paces include Pop Idol favourite Nicki Chapman, Dancing On Ice’s Jason Gardiner and Disney Channel UK star Brad Kavanagh. The show will premiere on the channel as part of Montana May on Friday 15th May at 6pm.

Hannah-oke will see six families from across the UK putting their vocal chords and Hannah song knowledge to the test in a series of entertaining challenges and karaoke sing-offs in front of a studio audience and panel of judges. Nicki, Jason and Brad will bring their expertise in theatre, music and singing to offer advice and critique the contestants’ performances. Three final families will then go head-to-head to battle it out to secure the title of Hannah-oke Champion 2009.

I am a huge fan of Hannah Montana myself and I can’t wait to find out who will be crowned Hannah-oke Champion 2009!”

The Hannah-oke competing families are:

·         The Ofili-Ellis from Croydon

·         The Williams family from Coventry

·         The Martin family from Leeds

·         The Perera family from Derby

·         The Lawless-Hearn family from Middlesex

The winning Hannah-oke family will receive a once-in-a-lifetime trip to Disneyland Paris, a karaoke machine and Hannah Montana singstar game. To make sure they never forget their experience, they will also receive a gold disk signed by the teen sensation.

This new UK production follows the hugely successful Hannah Superfan, which saw Disney Channel UK search the country for the number one Hannah Montana fan. Sophie Dickson from Renfrewshire fought off over 7,000 entrants to win the title.
