Tried entering our competitions yet? Never won a prize? Then read on for inspiration!
Dear Primary Times,
My name is Therese O'Donoghue and I have been very lucky so far this year.
In January I came runner-up in a Christmas Essay competition with Bank of Ireland where you had to write why you love Christmas and I got a Bank of Ireland pencil case. In early March I entered a competition in the Microbe Magic magazine and I wrote about two famous scientists called Galileo and Albert Einstein. I came highly recommended and got a certificate for it!
Shortly after that on Satitude (RTE 2) which is on Saturday mornings, there was a competition to go to London to see any play you wanted. I got the questions right from their website and I won the prize. Just recently in the second last Primary Times magazine there was a farm safety competition for farm safety posters, and I won in my age group and got a special medal and €100 book voucher.
Also on June 9th I won a texting competition on Ur Call and I got a lava lamp! I guess this is my lucky year.
Love Therese from Kinsale, Co. Cork
Congratulations Therese! We reckon you must be the luckiest Primary Times reader going!
