Gardening Scotland, Highland Show Ground, Ingilston, Edinburgh

This is a 3 day event and the biggest and best garden show in Scotland which brings the best from near and far. This is my second visit and this was a bigger and more enjoyable event.

You see show gardens, pallet gardens made by school children, crafts, stalls selling all sorts of items for gardens and gardeners, activities for children such as bee keeping, story telling, play areas, planting vegetables to grow at home, cookery demonstrations, masses to see and do and it will fill a whole day in.

You can marvel at the displays and appreciate the time and effort put in by all taking part. All the family went this time and everyone had a fantastic day out, Katie who didn’t really want to go came home saying “I think I may go next yearthat was really good”. The adults can appreciate all the beautiful gardens, whilst the kids look for bugs to take to the bug team for them to identify, you can eat local grown delicious strawberries, and much, much more – this is something I would recommend for anyone who likes gardens, plants or just would like to learn more.

This is a show which I can see going from strength to strength and having something for all the family to really enjoy in years to come. And the best bit is kids go free………….. so it is a good value day out.
