Cruising through Cornwall in a Campervan
After spending many a sodden weekend fighting to erect a tent against howling winds, my daughter Holly and I, were quite happy to leave the canvas and pegs at home and venture down the A30 to the centre of Cornwall to collect our travelling companion for a few days.
This companion was a delightful Type 2 VW campervan, well renowned for possessing an unbreakable nature, and who answered to the name Miss Molly. Lovingly owned by Katie and Nick Julian from Cornwall Campers, it soon became apparent this wonderfully restored vehicle was in the possession of a family that really takes pride in adding that personal touch.
Resplendent in a vivid bright orange over gleaming white bumpers, Miss Molly as she is affectionately known, certainly looked good for a 35 year old. Oozing with charm, character and a sturdy reliability, this delightful campervan was a welcome home and contained everything we needed for our trip. Miss Molly’s interior was tastefully decorated in soothing colours and the attention to detail was impressive adding an extra level of comfort.
Cornwall Campers have six small, but beautifully formed, campervans that sleep from 2 up to 5 persons. The lovingly maintained vans are classic VW Type 2 with bay windows and original interiors, and come equipped with everything you need for a camping holiday.
