Bikeability Scotland

Bikeability Scotland is a cycle training programme that supports more than 36,000 children to develop an essential life skill every year. This national programme is offered within the school setting (typically P5-S1), and comprises of three levels, to support the next generation of confident and responsible citizens.

Bikeability Scotland is delivered by thousands of volunteer instructors; often parents, teachers and members of the local community, across the length and breadth of Scotland.

You can support the movement too; by encouraging your child or pupils to practice their skills, helping them to safety check their bike, or even becoming a Bikeability Scotland Instructor yourself.

Glasgow Acting Academy is a Scottish registered charity and one of Glasgow's fastest growing stage schools. Wee Beasties and Creepy Crawlies at Edinburgh Zoo

Scuttle, slither and wriggle your way to Edinburgh Zoo this October holidays to meet the smallest of animals, as Creepy Crawlies returns! Get hands on with this immersive and unique event and get nose to nose to rare bugs and insects you wouldn’t normally see in Scotland.

Taking place in our Budongo Trail, don’t miss out on some animal handling experiences, keeper talks and a chance to see some completely unique animals, big and small including crickets, beetles, stick insects, spiders and more.  Creepy Crawlies runs daily from 11am to 3.30pm throughout the October holidays, and even better, it is free with Zoo admission.

Brand new for 2017, the ‘Wee Beasties’ are here to stay! This amazing new indoor exhibition features amphibians, insects and reptiles and highlights the importance of diversity within our natural world.

Get your skates on and join in a fun-filled family activity!                                                     

We’ve got disco lights, pop music, plenty of hire skates and experienced coaches on hand to help you get rolling.                   

At discos there are games and chances to learn some simple skate moves too.    

During the October half term (13th - 20th) we have roller discos every day.                       

This Halloween there will be Spooks on Skates at the rink, with ghoulish games and prizes for the best fancy dress, it’s sure to be spooktacular fun!
