Welcome to the Lincolnshire Regional Home Page! We will do our best to keep this updated with new information in conjunction with each current issue of Primary Times. You will find here even more events and activities from around the county - many of which I haven't room to publish in the magazine - so keep visiting!!! 2012 promises to be a very busy year with so many great local and national events including, of course, The Olympics. In addition to what's on you can check here to see who has won the latest competitions which we regularly include each issue.

Storybook Day Toddler Session - Draw Me A Star
This beautifully drawn book by the author of The Very Hungry Caterpillar, tells of how the universe was created. The children will be involved in recreating the images from this book on the floor and can see the pictures unfolding. Children will make suncatchers and shiny stars to hang in their rooms. Pre-school children all welcome with their parents or carers.

Chinese State Circus Arriving in Skegness
This unique extravaganza showcases only the best in entertainment; witness acrobats defying gravity in an array of elaborate, explosive and highly choreographed presentations of power, poise and agility. ‘Yin Yang’ will not only keep the audience on the edge of their seats but show the more delicate and beautiful side of Chinese tradition with the silk aerial act, parasol juggling, eye catching Lion Dance and the amazing legendary ‘Bicycle Act’ in which 10 talented artistes manoeuvre onto a single bicycle. Witness the unpredictable and exhilarating twists of foot juggling with drums, the famous Chinese poles, the sensational contortionist and the dynamic hoop divers with their amazing somersaults, leaps and jumps which all go towards completing this action packed programme.

Snowdrop Sunday
Free admission to view the spectacular display of snowdrops in the churchyard of this beautiful ancient church. Refreshments will be available in the church, between 11.00am and 4.00pm and there will be an opportunity to buy homemade cakes, handicrafts and plants. There will be ’guess the weight of the cake’ competion, a raffle and champagne prize draw.

What's the biggest bubble you have ever blown? Was it big enough for you to stand inside? This February half term join our bubble making workshop, Make the biggest bubble you can and see if you can make shapes with your bubble.  We will even give you our special recipe for making giant bubbles at home. Workshops will take place throughout the day. 10-5pm.
Steel Tours - Why not delve into the history of Magna on one of our behind the scenes guided steel tours. Discover more about the steel making process and find out what life was life for many of the men and women who worked within the steel industry. Steel Tours include the Big Melt show and also a trip to the foundry floor so get your hard hats at the ready. Tours will be taking place daily at 10.30am, 12.30pm and 2.30pm. Steel tours are suitable for all ages, Younger children may wish to bring a torch to see further into depths of the old furnace.
Forge Demonstrations - Have you ever seen a blacksmith at work? Visit the fire pavilion each weekday afternoon and see steel being heated and molded in our traditional forge.

Children’s Clay Workshop
10am - 12pm. Let the children get creative this holiday.  This workshop is designed to let the kids learn about how to model the clay to produce a picture or a pot or a bowl.  All modelling is done by hand. The finished articles are then left at the studio to fully dry and be fired in our kiln. They will be ready for collection in 10 days.

Dance, Drama & Singing Workshops
10am to 3.30pm for 6 to 16yrs. What kind of film will you choose?  Will it be cartoons or horror, adventure or science fiction?  Where the story goes, is up to you!  Nearly Instant Theatre Sessions are drama, dance and singing workshops which lead to a performance.  Suitable for beginners and for experienced performers the play is partly pre-structured and partly improvised with the emphasis on fun.  Participants should bring a packed lunch.

Horse + Bamboo
A young girl, a hungry wolf, and a walk through the woods - it sounds like a recipe for disaster, but Red Riding Hood's not scared... well, maybe she's a little bit scared.
Horse + Bamboo present a gorgeously rendered re-telling of the classic girl-and-the-wolf tale. Exquisite visuals blend with pantomime-style silliness and spooky moments to create an enchanting piece of theatre. 2pm. £6.50 (£6) £22 family of 4
The story that everybody knows – or do they? Running time: 55mins. Suitable for ages 4+
3pm: join Horse + Bamboo for a post show workshop
There are 25 free places on this shadow-puppetry workshop for children who have just watched Red Riding Hood. Parents are welcome to stay and can even get involved if they want to! Please call the box office to book your child's place.

Bushcraft Club

Kids Hand Made Felt Pictures
Making felt from wool fleece has been around for thousands of years and predates spinning or weaving with wool, let the children have a go at this ancient art.  They will learn the basic technique for turning wool to felt and leave with a picture that they have designed and made themselves.

designers who specialise in incorporating vintage artefacts and
