PETA's Compassionate Kid Award
PETA's Compassionate Kid Award is not a competition – every nominee who shows compassion to animals is a winner and will receive a PETA award.
Some winners may even be announced to their hometown media, which will make them instant celebrities and help publicise animal protection issues. The kids will also receive a certificate from PETA for their efforts!
You can nominate you own child or a child you know for a specific good deed that he or she has done, such as helping an animal in distress, advocating a vegetarian or vegan diet to friends or simply showing respect and consideration for other people and animals. There's no deadline for the nominations, and people can nominate as many kids as you'd like.
Please see our blog post about a past winner of the award and read this newspaper clipping about him.
