Lydia Kakabadse was born in Southport, England and started composing at the age of thirteen. Inspiration for her compositions has been drawn from a number of diverse sources such as mediaeval music, nineteenth century composers and poets, mysteries, folk traditions and Middle Eastern music. Her CD The Phantom Listeners has recently become well-received by parents with young pre-school children, who feel that her music is inspiring to young imaginations.
